Learn To Row Day

Cape Charles Rowing Club was formed  to allow members to pool our resources and talents and share the joy of rowing.  We encourage everyone to participate, whether for fun, competition, physical fitness, enjoyment of our beautiful waterways or simply for the pure joy of using your muscles to move your shell along the water in this graceful sport.

Currently, the club is using boats and oars that have been loaned to us by members and other clubs.  The club has a beautiful new floating dock contributed by the Baldwin family, and is using facilities on the creek at Salt Grove on their property.

Our immediate need is for more boats!  We intend to fund the purchase of boats and oars through membership dues.

Come out and row with us.  Experienced club members will coach you and teach you some of the finer points of rowing.  If you enjoy it and would like to continue, we offer a “Getting Starting” membership package for $100 that includes up to 5 lessons.

Membership dues are currently set at $350 per year.  The $100 “Getting Started” membership fee can be applied to the regular membership dues.  Additional family members can join for $150 per year.  Non-resident memberships (located more than one hour away) are available at a reduced rate of $250 per year.

Cape Charles Rowing Club is a non-profit organization
